There’s always loads going on down The Door!
Whilst most other agencies take a “well earned” break during the school holidays - often leaving young people with nothing to do except lying in bed, hang around on street corners, and get into trouble - we take the opportunity to ramp up!

During the school holidays, the Drop-In opens 2 hours earlier, from 1-5pm each weekday. Its also still open 11.30-5pm on a Saturday.

We offer taster sessions in our training department, where young people can make something for free - it might be a mirror, a bag, or their own tune.

Over the long, and often boring, Summer Holidays we do even more!!

We run weekly Wacky Wednesday Trips to cool places like Thorpe Park, Go Ape, Canoeing, and All Terrain Biking. These trips are subsidised thanks to funding from places like the local Police, Council and Schools.

For those who like their challenges rough and tough, we run Fearsome Fridays. Starting with a 6 mile local walk, these build up over the weeks and culminate in a 2 night wild camp in some of the countries most beautiful, and challenging, terrain.
