Raise money for The Door at your school. Whether you’re a teacher or a student here are a some ideas to get you started…
Non-Uniform days - Always popular and a simple way to raise funds - get all the students to come in casual clothes, or fancy dress, or wear something orange to support the door. Each student brings in a donation for the privilege.
Push yourselves to the limit -How fit is your school? Arrange an aerobics class or sports activity and either charge people to join in or get some sponsorship and see how long you can all last. You can use your school sports hall and get all your teachers, families and schoolmates on board.
Teachers Car Wash - We all know teachers don’t like to wash their own cars, so why don’t you do it for them, for a price of course, and give all the proceeds to The Door.
Duke of Edinburgh Award - Does your school run the award? Fundraising is just one of the activities participants can take part in to complete their award under the ‘Service’ Section.
Most importantly of all…. Get your students involved in running their own events. Let them use their own initiatives to organise events for you.
